CAVE
(aka Caveman)
"I believe in you, I believe in me, I believe in universal truths that I see..."
Cave is a visionary artist, working his brightest ideals for the future and now of humanity into his music, a potent mix of certified organic hip-hop, new-age intelligence, and extra-terrestrial lazer beams. That's right. Cave is a light-worker, a wanderer from ELSEWHERE who is infiltrating the toxic skeleton of hip-hop music, perhaps the most popular and information-rich format of artistic expression currently available on this planet, in order to assist in the metaphysical REVIVAL and AWAKENING that is currently underway on Earth. This is nothing to do with religion or dogma, and everything to do with PEACE & LOVE. Cave is an optimist, happy to know that most people can relate to this and believe in themselves and their fellows to ultimately get it together, leave the bullshit behind, and really turn the party out on a cosmic scale. Cave does not worship dead ideas, fortune, or fame -Cave says, "If you don't believe in God, then believe in yourself cause it's the same thing." Our potential is limitless...
Born in Dallas, Texas in the early 80s, Cave became interested in electronic and hip-hop music at an early age. He began experimenting with his own creations around 14, and has been on the rise ever since. When he arrived in Berkeley in 2003 for school, he wasted no time in releasing and circulating his first project, Sticks and Stones, a collection of atmospheric, imagery-provoking hip-hop, jazz, and electro-funk inclined instrumentals. With his diverse influences and unique sonic blend of future-tribal organic electronica and bed-rock hip hop, an awesome soundscape covering everything from trunk slappin' Cali bangers to spaced out Tokyo heat rocks, Cave quickly launched himself as a gifted and formidable producer into the already prolific Bay Area hip-hop scene. He soon formed a powerful alliance with his home crew, the Awake Click (consisting mainly of Davey-Detail, Grand Logic, Joe Con, Cave, Phantom 309, Dejah Fortune, Jai-G), and eventually linked and collaborated with some of his own inspirations including P.E.A.C.E. (Freestyle Fellowship), Shing02, and Bicasso (Living Legends). Cave has also collaborated with many Bay Area mainstays such as JernEye (Lunar Heights), L-Roneous, Jennifer Johns, Los Rakas, Kristo (Sol Rebels), Seneca (Giving Tree), and more. He has rocked countless shows, from New York City to San Francisco to Maui, Hawaii, and has shared stages with many well-known artists such as Casual (Heiroglyphics), P.E.A.C.E. (Freestyle Fellowship), Cali Agents (Rasco & Planet Asia), Lunar Heights, and CunningLynguists. Recently Cave has relocated to Los Angeles, and is busy promoting a new collaborative project with long-time musical brother and savage lyricist Joe Con entitled ConCave-ZooLife, promoting his new solo project A.R.T., and continuing to push the envelope and project new sounds and visions into the ethosphere.
